Kimberly June Releases New Song “Someone Who Gets Me”
Back in July, Hawaii-based singer-songwriter Kimberly June released her first cover EP “Covers from Another”.
The EP features 5 cover songs of Sugar Ray, Santana & Rob Thomas, Aerosmith, Nine Days, and Yes.
Following the EP, she released a new song “Someone Who Gets Me” on September 7, 2021.
She wrote the song with Cameron Paul Stymeist.
Kimberly June shared on social media, “'Someone Who Gets Me' (written with Cameron Paul Stymeist) is about knowing they exist and not settling or changing to fit with anyone. We shouldn't have to constantly explain or defend ourselves in relationships. It should feel easy to be completely yourself and they should inspire you to be even more authentic. When I wrote this, I had HAD it with trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. And when the relationship finally ended, I started singing this at my shows and manifesting 💓 the PEACE & EASE & FREEDOM I feel in my current relationship is something I've never felt. I am an enhanced version of ME with him by my side. He gets me. It exists. I promise. Keep the faith, don't settle, just be happy ✨ and stay tuned for the new song!!📡 ”- source : Apple Music
