  • Rhys Lewis Releases New Song “Slowest Way To Drown”

  • London-based singer-songwriter Rhys Lewis released a new song “Slowest Way To Drown” on September 12, 2025.

The song is the third single off of his upcoming EP “Stranger”, which is set to be released on October 17, 2025, following “So Long Ago” and “Stranger”.
It was written and produced by Rhys Lewis.

Rhys Lewis said of the song, “I wrote a song about heartbreak. It's called 'Slowest Way To Drown'. I don't know what it is about heartbreak. I think it's very emotionally complicated and complex, and I suppose every heartbreak offers a different perspective on it. It's always different, and I think putting those experiences into words and into songs has really helped me process a lot. I guess in some relationships, problems come crashing in like waves. And because of that, you kind of have to acknowledge that the waves coming, it's gonna hit you and then it does, and then you talk about it and then I guess some action has to be taken. Whereas other relationships problems are almost more like rain or the dripping of a tap where it's slow and trivial and tolerable. Does that make sense? I think I'm blabbering, I'm rambling. But anyway, that's the end of my story time.”
  • The new EP comprises 5-tracks, written and produced by Rhys Lewis. It is his first project in two years since the 2023 album “Corner Of The Sky”.

He said of the EP, “Spent a week down at Middle Farm in Devon making music with a bunch of very good eggs. It sounds dramatic but it was a genuinely live-changing experience. We made a collaborative album in 5 days, all tracked to tape, live and alive. New dimensions unlocked for me, grateful to everyone involved!”
