Ariyel Releases New Song “sister sister” featuring Emily Sangder
Colorado-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Ariyel released a new song “sister sister” on July 25, 2025.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming concept album, following “how to be loved” released back in May.
The album explores the complex emotional terrain of living with CPTSD.
On the track, she teamed up with Oregon-based singer-songwriter Emily Sangder. This marks their second collaboration, following the 2021 song “grow together”,
The track is a shimmering, slow-burning dream pop anthem that captures the rarely discussed emotional intimacy between women bound by shared trauma.
It was written by Arielle Marie Ward and produced by august mez.- Ariyel said of the song, “I had a dream where the other woman reached for my hand. Even if I never get that in real life, this song helped me let go of the anger. I hope it can do that for others, too.”
She added, “This was one of those therapy songs. I worked through the animosity I'd been holding onto and came out the other side. I hope it helps people feel less alone.” -
