Cybèle Releases New Song “In Another Life”
French-Chinese-American singer-songwriter Cybèle will release her upcoming debut album “Paradise” in January 2026.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “In Another Life” on August 15, 2025.
The song is the first ballad and filled with lush jazz harmonies, cinematic strings, and timeless soul, the track captures the spark of love at first sight, that instant, unshakable connection with someone who feels strangely familiar.
The track was written by Ming-An Cybèle Fasquelle and Pang-Yuan Nicole Chang. Produced by G'harah “PK” Degeddingseze.
Cybèle said of the song, “It started as a love song to someone from another lifetime. But it quickly became something deeper. It's about being seen, soul to soul.”- The debut album comprises 9 tracks, which were all written or co-written by Cybèle. It is a bold and emotional journey into self-reclamation, creative power, and soul-level connection.
Cybèle said of the album, “All through high school, I was pushed toward medicine, a 9 to 5, or some other 'practical' path. I even tried economics, coding, the career tracks that were supposed to guarantee stability. But every step away from music felt like suffocation. So I chose the scarier route. I graduated from Harvard, moved to New York for my Master's at Berklee, and I am risking it all to make Paradise, an album about freedom, self-worth, and the courage to follow your passion even when it makes no sense on paper. Because the biggest risk is not failure. It is living with the question, what if I had just tried?” -
