Kings of Leon Releases New Song “We're Onto Something” featuring Zach Bryan
Nashville-based rock band Kings of Leon, consisting of Caleb Followill (vocals/rhythm guitar), Jared Followill (bass), Matthew Followill (lead guitar/keyboards) and Nathan Followill (drums), teamed up with American country music singer-songwriter Zach Bryan to release a new song “We're Onto Something” on August 22, 2025.
This marks the second collaboration between Kings Of Leon and Zach Bryan, following “Bowery” released on August 8, 2025.
Kings Of Leon and Zach Bryan first performed two songs during a concert at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco earlier this month.
The track was written by Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill, and Nathan Followill. Produced by Kid Harpoon.
The band lead singer Caleb Followill said of the song, “This song has like a little thing in the bridge. It's kind of quicken speaking, quick singing. The beginning of our career was a lot of rapid fire kind of things like wasted time king of the Rodeo. And I feel like Zach is kind of he's good at that you know he has those moments in his catalog. So I thought it's be cool to hear him. Go for it and I think he did pretty great.”- He continued, “No this I mean I feel like this is just kind of like vibey, good times, not taking it too seriously. The way that the song is written but also like the way that we're going about it. Trying to be less meticulous about every little decision that we make, and just kind of trying to be be loose with things because that's how it feels the best for us in our world when we're making music. A lot of times the demos end up being like our favorite things because we're all just kind of finding our place. So where I feel like with this song, the way it was written the way that we've kind of come back to it after a few months. It just feels kind of loose and I don't know I think it's a good vibe.”
