2025 MTV Video Music Awards Winners List & Performance Highlights: Doja Cat, Lady Gaga, Sabrina Carpenter, Mariah Carey, Conan Gray & More
The 2025 MTV Video Music Awards took place at the UBS Arena in Elmont, New York, on September 7, 2025.
It was broadcast for the first time on CBS.
This year, Lady Gaga led the field with 12 nominations. Following her, Bruno Mars received 11 nominations, and Kendrick Lamar received 10.
Mac Miller earned his first VMA nomination posthumously, with his “Baloonerism” visual up for Best Long Form Video.
Also, VMAs were first nominations for a slew of artists, including Rosé, Warren, Lola Young, the Marias, Gigi Perez, and Damiano David this year.
Ultimately, Lady Gaga won 4 awards: Artist of the Year, Best Collaboration with Bruno Mars, Best Direction, and Best Art Direction.
She was followed by Sabrina Carpenter and Ariana Grande, who each won three awards. Bruno Mars, Doechii, and Tate McRae each won two awards.
Mariah Carey was honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
As two new special awards, Busta Rhymes received the Rock the Bells Visionary and Ricky Martin received the Latin Icon.- 2025 MTV Video Music Awards Winners List
