Jeremy Zucker Releases New Song “surprise!”
American singer-songwriters Jeremy Zucker released the second single called “surprise!” from his upcoming third studio album “Garden State” on July 25, 2025, following “hometown”.
The album is set to be released on August 22, 2025 via Mercury Records.
The song is about a letter to Jeremy Zucker's younger self. It was written by Cleo Tighe and Jeremy Zucker. Produced by Jeremy Zucker and Hazey Eyes.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by Hunter Moreno.
Jeremy Zucker said of the song, “'surprise' is really surreal for me because it's a letter to my younger self, who's dream I'm literally living. That's why the line 'cuz strange as it seems, I'm living your dreams, the voice coming out your speakers' hits so hard for me, on one side I'm kind of time traveling, and on another, someone else who is listening could be listening to their future self. But the lyrics of the song hold all of what is special about it.”- He added, “Somehow I have no voice memos, pictures or videos of the writing of this song. I really wish I did, because when Cleo Tighe and I sat down one day in September to make music, this spilled out. It was the song the album was missing, the song I needed to hear when I was a teenager, and the second single from my upcoming album, Garden State.”

The new album comprises 14 tracks, produced by Jeremy Zucker and Hazey Eyes. It is his first solo album in four years since the 2021 album “CRUSHER”.
Jeremy Zucker said of the album, “It's all about growing up in New Jersey: how I never quite felt at home. How I had to leave to find myself. And how coming back made it all make sense. There's a lot in here that I've never touched on in my music, I some things I've never fully precessed myself. I'm not the same person I was when I started this journey.” - source : Apple Music
