Rex & The Rhythm Returns With New Song “Without You”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Rex & The Rhythm returned with a new song “Without You” on August 8, 2025.
The song is his first music since the 2024 EP “Play My Guitar”.
Rex & The Rhythm channeled his own romantic fallout into a track that wraps you in rhythm and keeps you swaying, featuring tight guitar work, warm basslines, and velvet-smooth keyboards.
The track features Rex & The Rhythm on guitar, drums and bass, and Edward Liu on keyboards.
It was written and produced by Thomas-Ray Armstrong, with production by Dreadhawk Productions and Precision Productions.
Rex & The Rhythm said of the song, “'Without You' is about how dull life feels post a serious relationship and the vices we turn to or in some cases abuse, to make us feel better and make the grief we feel lighter. The questions we ask like, 'how long will it take me to get over this?' and, 'Why is it so damn hard?' I wanted something universally relatable in the hook while using imagery in the verses staying in the world of Andy and Silk Sonic's sauce.”- Photo by Emmanuel Ramos
