Robbie Williams Releases New Song “Spies”
British singer-songwriter Robbie William released a new song “Spies” on July 18, 2025.
The song is the third single off of his upcoming thirteenth studio album “BRITPOP”, following “Rocket” with British rock band Black Sabbath's guitarist Tony Iommi and “Pocket Rocket”.
The album is set to be released on October 10, 2025. The deluxe edition of the album features official FIFA anthem “Desire” featuring Italian singer-songwriter Laura Pausini, which was released earlier this month.
Robbie Williams co-wrote the song with his long-time collaborators Karl Brazil and Owen Parker. Produced by Karl Brazil, Owen Parker, Sam Miller, and Martin Terefe.
The track is an uplifting, guitar-driven indie pop song in which he reflects on times past and sings, “We used to stay up all night / Thinking we were all spies / Praying that tomorrow won't come.”- The new album comprises 17 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Laura Pausini and Tony Iommi. It is his first album in six years since the 2019 album “The Christmas Present”.
Robbie Williams said of the album, “I set out to create the album that I wanted to write and release after I left Take That in 1995. It was the peak of Britpop and a golden age for British Music. I've worked with some of my heroes on this album; it's raw, there are more guitars and it's an album that's even more upbeat and anthemic than usual. There's some 'Brit' in there and there's certainly some 'pop' too - I'm immensely proud of this as a body of work and I'm excited for fans to hear this album.” -
