Cat Serrano Returns With New Song “Fantasy”
Puerto Rican singer-songwriter Cat Serrano returned with a new song “Fantasy” on June 6, 2025.
The song is the first music of 2025 and is the follow-up to “You Me and The Night”, which was released last October.
The track features elements of R&B and explores the quiet unraveling of a relationship built more on wishing than reality.
Cat Serrano co-wrote the song with long-time producer Cole O’Conno.
Cat Serrano told Naluda Magazine about the song, “The song is heavily inspired by the Greek myth of Eros and Psyche, so we had this idea of adding a kind of dreamlike sound to 'Fantasy,' as it is based on a fictional story. I really love the sounds of string and wind instruments, so that’s kind of how we landed on the sound.”- She continued, “'Fantasy' deals with the kind of heartbreak that never really had closure. A lot of the time in relationships, you’re not really able to get closure face-to-face, as both parties are typically trying to move on. In the case of 'Fantasy,' I turned to music to kind of dump out all my unresolved feelings, which at the end of the day working through your own emotions is what’s gonna help you find closure within yourself.”
