Alessi Rose Releases New EP “Voyeur”
London-based indie pop singer-songwriter Alessi Rose released her third EP “Voyeur” on July 25, 2025.
The EP was released just six months after her sophomore EP “For Your Validation”, which accrued millions of streams
Following the success of the second EP, she signed to Capitol Records and Polydor Records. It is her firs release under her new labels.
The EP comprises 8 tracks, produced by Adam Yaron, Boo, Couros, John Hill, Josh Scarbrow, Kurisu, Sam de Jong and Sammy Witte.
She wrote and recorded the EP between London and Los Angeles over the past six months.
Alessi Rose said of the EP, “In my EP 'Voyeur', the voyeurism is twofold. The audience becomes a voyeur of my innermost thoughts and feelings through the music, but additionally I am a voyeur of myself and my own, sometimes self-sabotaging, decisions. I wanted this EP to feel like the unfiltered version of events that you tell your closest friends and I feel like the bluntness and stream of consciousness lyrics reflect that. I don't care how I'm perceived because I trust the listener.”
She added, “The songs on Voyeur are so thick with emotion that I can taste the day on which they were written and the person they’re intended to be about - I love that they all live so personally and relatably in my mind.”- She continued, “A labour of love discomfort yearning anger & every other conflicting emotion ever. I love these songs & after already seeing some of your reactions to them i already feel so beyond happy & validated & proud. My first vinyl, & hence the first time i've physically been able to hold this thing that i've made in my hands, I feel so emotional about all that has happened in such a short period of time....from rumination as ritual to here.”
She added, “'Voyeur' is me dealing with [my] transition into being an artist and someone that people look to.” -
Alessi Rose explained some tracks for the EP.
“Same Mouth”
“'Same Mouth' is me confronting the hypocrisy of an ambiguous relationship but also it's about abandonment of self and how, to me, if I'm aware of what I'm letting myself in for, then maybe I'm not the victim, and maybe I'm actually in control.”
“Everything Anything”
“'Everything Anything' pokes fun at the utter absurdity of having someone who you once were so close and intimate with now becoming a total stranger. It's vulnerable but also deeply ironic and feels like the stream of consciousness, confessional rant you'd share with a friend at a sleepover.
Writing this song felt like a stream-of-consciousness interrogative dive into what it feels like to no longer speak to someone you were once close intimate & personal with ! Triggered by hearing about someone moving down the road from me, I kinda just felt like making a joke out of the sheer ridiculousness of how quickly relationships can change & this song was the joke?!”
“That Could Be Me”
“'That Could Be Me' is about desire, particularly when that person is in love with someone else, and the tension you feel between wanting them and knowing that morally you can't do anything about it. It's the most frustrating kind of yearning, where it's angry and out of your control.
This song is about love and yearning and anger and frustration and sex and more yearning and wanting someone when it's morally wrong and they might have a girlfriend & you don't need to do anything about it but it just sits in your stomach like a sickness! I think it's fun to want but it also drives you a bit crazy & that's what this song is about. I love this song & have loved it for a very long time & I'mm so glad it's out in its most perfect form. Sing it scream it do whatever u want to it I don't judge!” - source : Apple Music
