Natanya Premieres New Song “Jezebel” on BBC Radio 1
London-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Natanya premiered a new song “Jezebel” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song will appear on her upcoming EP “Feline's Return Act II”, which is set to be released on October 10, 2025 via Human Re Sources.
The EP is a sequel to the EP “Feline's Return”, which was released back in June.
The track was written by Joshua Gaskin Brown, and Natanya. Produced by Jkarri and Natanya. The accompanying music video was directed by Tally Fancis.
Natanya told Sian Eleri about the song, “It started off as the beginning. And that was kind of it for a year. And my dad was kind of on the way to work one morning. And I just kind of sat at the piano, and I was like, 'I think I should do something like that.' Because the last project was very simple, and it didn't really have many bridges. And I was like, 'Maybe we should just add some max factor to it.' So there's like a voice note of my dad, like leaving the house, and I was just playing it there. So that was really the story behind it.”- She added about her lyric writing process, “It happens with a mixture of the three. I'm always writing in my diary anyway. Just about life in general. Sometimes I'll just get ideas, like, when I'm sleeping and I'll wake up in the middle of the night and like, have to do voice notes. So, I'll be in the studio, and I'll just get some sort of inspiration there. But it's very personal.”
