The Wild Things Releases New Song “I Can't Wait”
London-based pop-rock band The Wild Things, consisting of Sydney Rae White (vocals), Rob Kendrick (guitar), Pete Wheeler (drums), and Cameron White (bass), released a new song “I Can't Wait” on August 14, 2025.
The song is a sequel to “Knock Down, Drag Out”, which was released back in June and details the second half of their sonic love story.
It was written by Rob Kendrick, and Cameron White, who also produced the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Rob Kendrick.
The band leased singer Sydney Rae White said of the song, “'I Can't Wait' is part two of our love affair story, happening inside New Orleans. The gap between the singles is the realtime breakdown of our character's relationship, ending in a vitriolic yet cathartic rock song. This song is a real shift for us in some really exciting ways. If “Knock Down, Drag Out” is a nod to our past, “I Can't Wait” is a window into our future...”- Alongside the single, the band have also launched The Black Heart interactive voicemail system, where fans can leave a message to their ex in their own search for catharsis.
The band said, “2 months have passed. 2 months of desperately trying to get over 'that scumbag' whilst simultaneously denying you were ever 'under' him. But you plotted. In the shadows you created a voicemail system, where you and any other scorned lover can scream their pain down the phone, finally leaving it behind. You're definitely still in the Anger phase of Grief, but that's better than Denial right??” -
The band embarks on the UK Tout this fall. Dutch singer-songwriter Inge Lamboo will support the tour.
The tour kicks off at Studio 6 in Maidstone on September 11 and will conclude at Alphabet in Brighton on September 20, 2025.
