Folk Bitch Trio Releases New Song “Hotel TV”
Australian indie folk band Folk Bitch Trio, consisting of Gracie Sinclair, Jeanie Pilkington and Heide Peverelle, will release their upcoming debut album “Now Would Be A Good Time” this Friday (July 25th) via Jagjaguwar.
The song is the fifth and final pre-release single from the album.
The band wrote the song and co-produced it with producer Tom Healy. Also, they co-directed a music video with Nick Mckk.
Jeanie Pilkington said of the song, “'Hotel TV' is about having a sex dream about somebody else while next to your partner, and your partner being a liar.”
They added, “Our vibe check for the music video was dire country town, bored and cheeky, loosely inspired by both our childhoods and what we've had to do for fun touring regional Australia.”- The debut album comprises 10 tracks, co-produced by Folk Bitch Trio and Tom Healy. They recorded the album in in the Aotearoa (New Zealand) last winter.
The Torio said, “Our debut album, Now Would Be A Good Time, will be out July 25th via Jagjaguwar. Produced by us and Tom Healy in the Aotearoa winter last year. 10 songs from our shared heart to your ears.”
Gracie Sinclair added, “The chemistry of being inspired by each other was evident from the get-go. We have three individual voices, but the story we tell is unified because our hearts are very melded.” -
