Iris Caltwait Announces New Album “Again, for the first time”, Shares New Song “rodeo”
Norwegian pop singer-songwriter Iris Caltwait has announced her upcoming sophomore album “Again, for the first time” will be released on November 7, 2025 via 777 Music.
It is her first alum in four years since the 2021 debut album “love and other disasters”.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “rodeo” on August 29, 2025.
The song is the third single, following “Spring Rush (a hot platonic subatomic crush)”, “i'm in the corner, alone”, and “these are hard times (Say the Words!)”.
The track unfolds as an inner dialogue between a hopeless romantic and a hardened realist, a warm, low-lit hymn to love that dares to dream even in the wake of devastation.
It was written by Vetle Junker and Vilde Iris Hartveit Kolltveit. Produced by Vilde Iris Hartveit Kolltveit, Vetle Junker, and Askjell.
Iris Caltwait said of the song, “'rodeo' is about romance, and in a way, about being brave. About daring to love, to dream even (or especially) with an open wound. All that pain, and you’re going to stop trying? Why on earth would you do that? The risk of losing everything actually just means you’re so rich you have something to lose.”- The new album comprises 16 tracks, co-produced with Askjell (Sigrid, Aurora) and features contributions from Junker, Jimi Somewhere, Milo Orchis, Lauritz Christiansen, and more.
It was written across Bergen, Oslo, Copenhagen and Gothenburg in borrowed living rooms and countryside retreats.
