Make Out Monday Releases New Song “Back to the Feeling”
Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Make Out Monday, consisting of Zack Shada (vocals), Seth Renken (drums), Ezra Behrens (guitar) and Nathan Bramsway (bass), released a new song “Back to the Feeling” on October 9, 2025.
The song is the follow-up to the EP “Play It Again Sammy”, which was released back in July.
Thematically, the track reflects on longing for a lost moment in time, a relationship preserved as memory, impossible to relive but unforgettable all the same.
The track was inspired by “Back to the Future”, one of their favourite films, Tears For Fears, The Cars and Don Henley.
Make Out Monday will debut the song live at a special “Back to the Future” 40th anniversary celebration at the iconic Twin Pines Mall filming location on October 25, 2025.
It was written by Zack Shada, Seth Renken, and Ezra Behrens. Produced by Kenneth Mount and Zack Odom.- The band frontman Zack Shada said of the song, “It's about trying to return to a time, place, or feeling you can't get back to. We wanted it to sound hopeful even in its melancholy, like rewinding the tape of your life.”
The band added, “A time, a place, a memory... A feeling that changed everything. We invite you to go 'Back to the Feeling' with us. Heavily inspired by bands we loved growing up, such as Tears For Fears, The Cars and Don Henley and more than a little 'Back to the Future'.” -
