Fred again.. Releases New Song “you're a star” featuring Amyl and The Sniffers
London-based music producer Fred again.. has announced his new USB series “USB002” will be released on December 12, 2025.
Along with the release of the project, He will release a new song every Friday for 10 weeks and perform in a different city each week.
From the USB series, he released “you're a star” as the first release of the 10-week plan on October 3, 2025.
On the track, he teamed up with Australian punk rock band Amyl and The Sniffers.
It was written by Amy Taylor, Benjy Gibson, Declan Mehrtens, Fred Gibson, Marco Parisi, Nick Velez, Simon Hessman, and Thea. Produced by Fred again.. and Boo.
The accompanying music video was directed by John Angus Stewart and LOOSE.
Fred again.. said of the song, “Some USB songs are a bit deeper to me and this is one of those. It's like the feeling of tryna clawwww someone you love out of a hole like in the midst of all kindsa chaos and misfortune and heaviness. But like you know they're a fuckin starrrr you just need to try and lift them up just enough to see the mirror for a second! and talking of fuckin stars Mrs Amy Sniffer. What an absolutely legend. It's been beyond a joy getting to know Amy thru this and her and the Sniffers are one of the sickest bands in the world. Australia we miss you. Last week I asked Amyl and her best friend to shoot a music video for our song. this is what they sent back.”- The lead singer Amy Taylor of Amyl and the Sniffers told Rolling Stone about Fred again.., “It's really flattering, because I feel like - and I told him this too - Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He's Willy Wonka, and somehow I got a golden ticket to be a part of his world. He's one of the best DJs in the world, and he's such a nice dude, really friendly and enthusiastic, and the song is a massive banger. I love the remix, and it's taken on a whole new feeling. It was really, really fun to be able to work with him.”

Fred again.. said, “10 weeks! a new song every Friday and a show every Friday (in 10 different cities!). First Friday is this Friday. And it's Glasgow. Because here we fuckin go. We've spent the last year or so planning how we want these shows to sound and look and feel. There is an absolutely ridiculous lineup of people joining us in different places. Genuinely like 10 of my dream raves in every way. This week is with ¥ØU$UK€ ¥UK1MAT$U and HAAi. We've never done anything like this before.”
He continued. “Oh and one other thing I wanna say! The reason why I'm only doing just the one show every week is because I've learnt I realy love the shows where I feel like I'm in the exact same energy as you guys. When the energy is like I've looked forward to this all week and this is my Friday night let's have a magical time together. So I was like I'd love to just do a whole tour where I can be in that feeling with everyone every time!”
He added, “And also the reason we're only doing one show a week is because I wanted to have 6 days a week free to write because I really love making music and it takes me a lot of hours to get stuff I love. So that's why sometimes we don't make it to everywhere.”
