Geese Premieres New Song “Cobra” on BBC Radio 1

New York-based rock band Geese, consisting of Cameron Winter (vocals), Emily Green (guitar), Dominic DiGesu (bass) and Max Bassin (drums), will release their fourth studio album “Getting Killed” via Partisan Records this Friday (September 26th).
Ahead of the releasing the album, the band premiered a new song “Cobra” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song follows preceding singles “Trinidad”, “100 Horses” and “Taxes”.
The track was written by Cameron Winter, Dominic DiGesu, Emily Green, and Max Bassin. Produced by Geese and Kenneth Blume.
The band told Jack Saunders about the song, “It was written under duress. We had to make it in five minutes. And I think the song reflects that sort of urgency in a lot of ways.”- They continued, “We needed a hit. The label was calling. The studio, we got really into snake charming, and trying to figure out the science behind it, figure out the vibe. Try to put that in a song, it's not easy. They're partial to the dorian mode. It's technical jargon that basically means, don't want to bore you with the details. These vertebrates. They've got their own tastes and interests and stuff. We were just trying to make a song for them.”

The new album comprises 11 tracks, which the band recorded with producer Kenneth Blume in his Los Angeles studio over a month-long stretch, and it features a chaotic comedy of epic proportions.
It is their first album in two years since the 2023 album “3D Country”. For Cameron Winter, the album follows his 2024 solo album “Heavy Metal”.
The band said of the album, “The first song's a little crazier, so we decided to tone it down with something that. Even an idiot could understand. We're thinking about our smooth brain. The funny thing is that the only thing we actually take seriously is the music, but everything outside of it, we do not take seriously, except for, except for BBC Radio 1. I mean, I consider us serious people generally.”.
