Paul Russell Releases New Song “Keeper”

Los Angeles-based rapper Paul Russell released a new song “Keeper” on September 26, 2025 via Arista Records.
The song is follow-up to “Feelin' Alright” from American heist action comedy film “The Pickup” soundtrack, which was released last month.
It is a song of celebration and love, inspired by the sounds of the late 70s and early 80s, about choosing someone despite all their flaws and imperfections.
The track was written by Jake Torrey, Julian Nixon, Paul Russell, Sean Cook, and Sean Douglas.
Paul Russell said of the song, “As with a lot of my music, my hope is that the song gives people joy and gets them moving. The shimmer-y melody on the keys and that pounding 4 on the floor kick are meant to transport people to a celebration where they can’t help but get on their feet and have a good time.”- He continued, “Keeper represents my commitment to making songs that talk about love in a modern way but using traditional, ‘old school’ instruments and techniques. The idea is to create timeless music - something people can relate to no matter what their age is.”
