PARTYOF2 Announces Debut Album “AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY!”, Premieres New Song “FRIENDLY FIRE” on BBC Radio 1
Los Angeles-based hip hop duo PARTYOF2, consisting of SWIM and Jadagrace, has announced their upcoming debut album “AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY!” will be released on October 17, 2025 via Def Jam Recordings.
From the album, the duo premiered a new song “FRIENDLY FIRE” on BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
The song is the third single off of the album, following “POSER” and “JUST DANCE 2”.
It was written by Jadagrace Gordy-Nash, and Tyson Coy Stewart. Produced by SWIM, Danes Blood, Dave Marcus, and Oliver Cooper.
The accompanying music video was directed by PARTYOF2.
The duo said of the song, “Friendly fire is an homage to the hip hop we both grew up on. From Slick Rick to Biggie, story telling is essential to hip hop and we want to keep that torch alive. We sat down together and wrote down all of our insecurities, then we traded papers and wrote disses, poking fun at our most vulnerable and weak spots. This record is a lyrical exercise. We’re sharpening our swords by throwing shade.”- The debut album comprises 11 tracks, produced and written by Jadagrace and SWIM.
Jadagrace told Sian Eleri about the album, “First of all, before we made anything for this album, we knew we wanted to make like a diss track toward each other. And in the studio we went in two separate places. We wrote down all our insecurities, and we sort of like swapped. So we gave each other like ammo. And we made like, a long list of stuff, and there's so many like versions that didn't make it because we were going crazy on each other. We were going crazy. We're just having fun.”
She continued, “SWIM is really good at production. He actually has a lot of production on this album. And I really admire his taste. He's always bringing me, like, new music that I would never like listen to. But I'm always like, open to his ideas, because he is kind of a genius, so I would say his production and his taste.” -
SWIM said, “I think Jadagrace is the only person I know who has been in the industry longer than I have. I've been working since I was eight, and I think you were probably like five or six until I first started. And I think Jada, you just have this technicality, the skill level to everything that you bring, whether it's performing, being in the booth, she's just so sharp. She's so sharp.”
He continued, “I think 'AMERIKA'S NEXT TOP PARTY!'. There's a few layers to it. Obviously, the first is a play on 'America's Next Top Model'. But I also think as you dive into the album, we really reflect on what it feels like to be a young black American artist right now. And the trials and tribulations that come with fighting to be the best. And so that's really where the title originated. And I think we love being clever and a little bit witty.
