City Builders Releases New Song “Vengeful Spirit”
Toronto-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Grace Turner, aka City Builders released a new song “Vengeful Spirit” on August 19, 2025.
For City Builders, the song is the third single, following “Learning to Miss You” and “Pretty”.
Written after a fateful encounter at a Halloween party, the track captures what happens when personal pain transforms into collective empowerment.
The final version of the track includes vocal contributions from Grace's close friends, who gathered in her bedroom studio for a wine-fueled recording session.
The track written by Grace Turner, Jordan Circosta, Theo White, and Zach Zanardo, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Christian A Hodgson and Grace Turner.- City Builders said of the song, “This song has been in the works for almost two years and is one of my personal favs. Communication is one of women's strongest tools, and I think that people fear its power by belittling it as 'gossiping' or 'starting rumours.' In some cases, raised concerns save lives and I hope that this song can encourage changing the narrative on women exchanging information and experiences.”
