Cautious Clay Announces New Album “The Hours: Night”, Shares New Song “Art Museum (2am)”
American singer-songwriter Cautious Clay has announced his upcoming fourth studio album “The Hours: Night” will be released on October 24, 2025 via Concord Records.
The album is a sequel to the album “The Hours: Morning”, which was released back in May, and comprises 8 tracks. It is the next chapter of his conceptual series.
Where Morning captures the clarity, warmth, and structure of daybreak, Night explores its inverse, a meditation on the untethered, unpredictable nature of nighttime.
Cautious Clay said of the album, “'The Hours: Night' is the pure juxtaposition to the morning (clearly). I wanted the music to feel emblematic of how it feels to be out at night with a bunch of loose plans, but very few expectations. That feeling of being untethered. It was important for me to have fun with these records. I feel more in tune with the night. I consider myself a night person so this album was easier to make than the others. The night hours were, perhaps, more familiar.”
From the album, he released a new song “Art Museum (2am)” on September 12, 2025.
It was written and produced by Cautious Clay and Elie Rizk. The accompanying music video was directed by Travys Owen.- Cautious Clay said of the song, “'Art Museum (2am)' explores the idea of having a connection with someone that feels deeper than the physical or emotional-similar to how a painting or piece of art can transcend your own humanity and represent a moment in time.”
He added, "This song feels like 2am, deep in my feelings about somebody…the word 'muse' has always felt reductionist/patronizing to me but 'art' is always considered to have depth and complexity to it. What's better being a muse or an artist? How can two words with such polar opposite connotations work so well together?” -
