The Temper Trap Returns With New Song “Lucky Dimes”
Australian indie-rock band The Temper Trap, consisting of Dougy Mandagi (vocals/guitar), Toby Dundas (drums), Jonathon Aherne (bass) and Joseph Greer (guitar/keyboards), returned with a new song “Lucky Dimes” on August 13, 2025.
The song is their first music in 9 years since the 2016 album “Thick as Thieves”.
The track is accompanied by the Joey Clough-directed music video.
It was written by Dougy Mandagi, Kaelyn Behr, and Toby Dundas. Produced by Styalz Fuego.
The band lead singer Dougy Mandagi said of the song, “Good to know that 9 years after the last one, we still have something to say. It’s been an absolute pleasure creating this record and we can’t wait to share it with you, not to relive the past but to write the next chapter.”- Last month, their 2008 smash hit “Sweet Disposition”, which appears on their debut album “Conditions” and was used in the 2009 film “500 Days of Summer”, landed at No. 11 on triple j’s Hottest 100 of Australian Songs countdown.
The band said, “We never knew when we were in our little studio making these songs that they would still be connecting with people so many years later. Thank you.” -
