  • Avatari Releases New Song “Hold On”

  • Los Angeles-based alt-rock singer-songwriter Avatari released a new song “Hold On” on July 10, 2025.

Blending alt-rock energy with haunting lyrics and aching vocals, the track was born in the sacred stillness of Joshua Tree and captures what it feels like to be right on the edge of grief, burnout, and letting go.
The song is the second single of 2025, following “In My Bones” released back in April.
Avatari co-wrote the song with longtime collaborator and producer William C. Carpenter.
He has already filmed a music video for the song, which is coming soon.

Avatari said of the song, “This song came to me during one of the darkest, most uncertain times in recent memory - for the world, and for me personally. It's a message to anyone who feels like they're breaking: even in the darkest night, there's always a sunrise. I believe the job of an artist is to feel what the world is feeling and turn it into something people can hold onto. Hold On is that for me - a lifeline, a cry for hope, and a reminder that we're not alone in the dark.”
  • He continued, “'Hold On' came to me in Joshua Tree. One of the most scared places I know. A place I got to get still to listen. But the world wasn't still it was a time of civil unrest, natural disasters, wildfires burning through communities nearby and persona; breakdown. It felt like the world was falling apart the world, outside and the world inside. And in the middle of all the noise I kept hearing one quiet voice say the same thing over and over: 'just hold on'. This song is a prayer and a promise.”
