Vance Joy Releases New Song “Fascination in the Dark”
Australian singer-songwriter Vance Joy released a new song “Fascination in the Dark” on October 2, 2025.
The song is the followup to “Divine Feelings”, which was released last month.
Both songs were released as a double A-side titled “Divine Feelings/Fascination in the Dark”.
According to a press release, two songs came out of a busy and beautiful time in his life, during which he married his dream girl, moved to Barcelona, and welcomed his first child.
As with the previous song, the track was written by Dave Bassett and James Keogh. Produced by Dave Bassett and Edwin White.
The accompanying music video was directed by W.A.M Bleakle, who also directed the previous video for “Divine Feelings”.
The clip stars New Zealand actress Erana James and Australian actor Tom Wilson.
The video is the prelude to “Divine Feelings”. Vance Joy said, “This clip tells Part 1 of the Divine Feelings story”.- Director W.A.M Bleakl said of the video, “A lot of the supporting cast were actual locals from the towns we filmed in. The couple who owned the Mustang we used turned up early with their family, set up chairs, and by the end were helping us with stunt shots and camera rigs. It became a real community project.”
