Ella Eyre Releases New Song “red flags & love hearts”
London-based singer-songwriter Ella Eyre released a new song “red flags & love hearts” on August 27, 2025.
The song is the seventh single off of her upcoming sophomore album “everything, in time”, which is set to be released on November 21, 2025.
The track is a beautiful mix of honesty and self-awareness, drawing its title from a moment in therapy, she spins the song title’s metaphor into a bittersweet, hook-laden reflection on our tendency to romanticise warning signs.
It was written by Ella McMahon, Jonny Lattimer, and Aston Rudi, who also produced the track.
Ella Eyre said of the song, “I remember when I was talking about this boy to my therapist and he said, 'you know, it's like that saying: why do red flags look like love hearts?'. I'd never heard of it, but it's so true and it was so visual as well. We see them so clearly. We know there's something so wrong with this relationship and this environment that we're allowing ourselves to be in and yet somehow we managed to romanticise it.”- The new album comprises 15 tracks, featuring collaborations with Tiggs Da Author and Jay Prince.
It is the first album in a decade since the 2015 debut album“ Feline”.
Ella Eyre said of the album, “There's been a lot of stop-start with my career. It keeps me up at night. But this album feels like something I'm really proud of. And the biggest cliches are sometimes the deepest truths: Good things come to those who wait. And even though it's taken a long time to get to this place, I'm really proud of where I'm at.” -
