Bishop Briggs Releases New EP “When It's Halloween”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Bishop Briggs released a new EP “When It's Halloween” on October 3, 2025.
It is her first project in a year since her third studio album “Tell My Therapist I'm Fine” .
The EP comprises 5 tracks, produced by Will Bates. All songs were written by Landon Jacobs, Sarah McLaughlin, and Will Bates.
The record follows the journey of two witches, who are Bishop Briggs and her late sister Kate.
Bishop Briggs said of the EP. “As a young girl I was always fascinated with the mysticism and beauty that surrounded Halloween. Something about it always felt forbidden and oddly freeing; this idea of being someone else for just one night? What a dream. It's been a lifelong pursuit of mine to find healing in the loss of my sister. I don't know that I'll ever find it but in the lives of, Witchy and Witch I could tell the story of us in a world that didn't yet know the pain of what was going to happen. This EP follows the journey of two sisters who are facing the world together unsure of who they are and who they are the about to become.”- She continued, “I've felt a deep necessity to understand grief. It continues to hold loneliness, bitter confusion and never ending questions. I've tried lots of things since losing my sister Kate and I will forever be in pursuit of the closeness I so desperately mourn. I decided to the story of two witches, Kate and I, navigating the wold and ultimately my despair in continuing without her by my side. In noticing sings, I found her, I found myself and I found the cold and necessary comfort of Fall.”
She aded, “I felt the wind on my skin getting colder, branches scratching at my window and yet I felt at ease. The leaves changing colour, the moon ominously glowing and I could've fallen asleep. This stillness surrounding the chill that creeps up your spine can only be described as the once- a-year phenomenon of Halloween.” - source : Apple Music
