Thundercat Returns With Two New Songs “Children of the Baked Potato” featuring Remi Wolf & “I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time”
American singer-songwriter and bassist Thundercat returned with two new song “Children of the Baked Potato” and “I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time”.
The songs his first own music in two years since the 2023 collaborative song “No More Lies” with Australian psychedelic music project Tame Impala.
On “Children of the Baked Potato”, he teamed up with American singer-songwriter Remi Wolf.
This marks first collaboration between Thundercat and Remi Wolf.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
It was written by Remi Wolf and Stephen Bruner.
Thundercat said of the song, “She's [Remi] a child of the Baked Potato like me. She knew exactly what the song needed. And it was wild to watch her make it happen. The more I listen to the song, it's clear there was no one better I could have picked.”.- On “I Wish I Didn't Waste Your Time”, Thundercat croons in his distinct, meditative falsetto.
