Dove Cameron Releases New Song “Whatever You Like”
American actress and singer-songwriter Dove Cameron released her brand new single “Whatever You Like” on September 19, 2025.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Mollie King.
The track is the fourth single of 2025, following “Too Much”, “French Girls”, and “Romeo”.
Four songs will appear on her upcoming sophomore album, which is expected to be released in 2025.
It is her first album in two years since the 2023 album “Alchemical: Volume 1”. Initially, she planned to release a second installment of “Alchemical: Volume 1”. But it was scrapped.
The track was written by Dove Cameron, Madison Love, Victoria Zaro, and Tyler Spry, who also produced it.
The accompanying music visualizer features personal footage with her boyfriend Damiano David, who is know as Italian rock band Måneskin's frontman, from her Summer Diaries.- Dove Cameron said of the song, “'Whatever You Like' is the 2nd song I wrote as I was falling in love with the first good man I've ever loved, way back in January of 2024. (the 1st song you will have to wait until you hear it on the album!!!) It's about realizing that, even if you've been in other relationships, you've never truly known love before. In its simplest and truest form. and that maybe, you've found the person you want to do every little thing with for the rest of your life. I hope you love it and it brings love into your life.”

She told Mollie King of BBC Radio 1 about the song, “So this track I wrote actually in like, the first two months of 2024, I had very famously and stubbornly said for years that I didn't love love songs. I always said, even though I'd been in relationships before, romantic relationships, I didn't think that we needed any more love songs in the world. I didn't think that they said anything and then I met my boyfriend. And I had this, like, really interesting time in my life where I felt like I was shedding just like art, like layers and layers of armor that I've been walking around the world with because of the way that I grew up and because of my past, and I Just I was sort of like walking into the world again in this very vulnerable, open, like, love sick, love struck way. So it was really like, even though I've written romantic songs before, this definitely I felt like it was my first tried and true love song that I had written that was just pure happy, pure ear candy, pure positivity and love.
