Malu Pierini Releases New Song “Libera Me”
Danish-Corsican singer-songwriter Malu Pierini released a new song “Libera Me” on September 5, 2025.
“Libera Me” in Latin means “Free Me”, and borrows its title from an old Corsican church hymn Malu Pierini remembers from her childhood summers on the island.
On the track, it becomes a symbol of release, from fear, from old patterns, and from the weight of the past, forming the foundation of a raw and self-reflective anthem about love and the instinct to run from it.
With sharp wit and black humor, the track depicts the paradox of intimacy.
The track was written by Marie-Louise Pierini Lüders and Nicholas Kincaid. Produced by Nicholas Kincaid and Oliver Kincaid.
Malu Pierini said of the song, “‘Libera Me’ is the ultimate self-sabotage anthem - about standing face to face with a love that is kind, generous, and unconditional, and still feeling an overwhelming urge to push it away and run.”- She continued, “It’s a song about the nonsense that goes on in your head - the thoughts you hope nobody can read. Like: this love is perfect, so obviously I should ruin it - about wanting to break old patterns, but somehow tripping over my own shoelaces every time.”
The song is the follow-up to “Just For Us”, which was released back in February. Both songs will appear on her upcoming debut album. -
