Craig David Releases New Song “Rain”
British singer-songwriter Craig David will release his ninth studio album “Commitment” this Friday (August 8th).
From the album, he released a new song “Rain” on August 4, 2025.
The song is the sixth and final pre-release single.
It was written by Craig David, Talay Riley, and Tre Jean-Marie. Produced by Mike Brainchild.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mauro Fernandes Borges, as with the previous music video for “In It With You”.
Craig David said of the song, “This was the very first song I recorded for 'Commitment'. It all started with this one. Thanks to Tre Jean-Marie & Talay Riley for creating this special song with me. And to Mauro Fernandes Borges, ESTÚDIO CIE for always bringing the vision to life.”- The new album comprises 13 tracks, featuring guest appearances from JoJo, Tiwa Savage, and Louisa Johnson, produced by Mike Brainchild and Tre Jean-Marie. It is his first album in three years since the 2022 album “22”.
Craig David said of the album, “'Commitment' is everything to me now that 'Born To Do It' was to me as a teen. That's what it feels to me, that's what it means to me. And I hope that when people listen to it they have that same feeling all over again.
