Charlie Jeer Releases New Single “Sun Is Gone (Studio Version)”
British-Indian singer-songwriter and saxophonist Charlie Jeer released the studio version of his latest song “Sun Is Gone” on September 19, 2025.
The original version of song was released as his second single of 2025 last month, following “Nobody” released back in February.
Charlie Jeer boasts his signature Jazz influences in this irresistible listen.
The track was written by Ben Hughes, Charlie Jeer, and Ben Stancombe who also produced it.
Also, Ben Stancombe directed the accompanying live performance video and filmed it at 33 The Old Grocery Store in London.
Charlie Jeer said of the studio version, “Sun is Gone is a song about recognising a time in life ending and the feelings that come with it. The studio version is a stripped back, raw and unfiltered expression of that, in a way that feels true to myself and authentic...”- He continued, “The last few years of life have been both defining and overwhelming for me. This song was written in the week after my breakup – a time when I felt like an old version of myself stuck in a new life. It is about recognising what I've been through both personally and publicly and my transition through that into the version of myself that is writing this now. I wanted to make a song that captured the emotion of a break up, the feeling of a day ending – stuck in darkness with the quiet optimism for a new day.”
