Sadie Jean Premieres New Song “Slow Burn” on BBC Radio 1
American singer-songwriter Sadie Jean premiered a new song “Slow Burn” on BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Maia Beth.
The song will appear on her upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released in 2025.
The track is accompanied by the Sofia Ziman-directed music video.
It was written by Gabe Reali, Lisa Hickox, and Sadie Jean. Produce by Griff Clawson and Lixa.
Sadie Jean said of the song, “This song is about 'slow burn romances,' which used to be my favorite trope in movies, books, and tv shows. But after being stuck in a “will they/won’t they” for a few years, I decided that the yearning and waiting and reading into every subtle glance is actually super miserable and overrated. In fact, I think it’s called a slow burn because it just slowly kills you, and that’s the feeling that inspired me to write this song.”- Sha shared on social media, “'Slow Burn,' the 3rd single from my debut album, is out now!!! I used to glorify the 'slow burn romance.' It was my favorite trope in movies, books, and tv shows. But after being stuck in a will-they-won't-they for a few years, I discovered that the yearning and waiting and reading into every subtle glance is actually super miserable and overrated. In fact, I think it's called a slow burn because it just slowly kills you, and that's the feeling that inspired me to write this song. Thank you to the incredible people who brought this song and video to life and thank you all so much for being here. I can't wait to scream this one with you on tour and for you to hear the entire album.”
