Stacey Ryan Releases New Song “Bad Omen”
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter Stacey Ryan will release her debut album “Blessing in Disguise” this Friday (August 15th).
From the album, she unveiled a new song “Bad Omen” on August 8, 2025.
The song is the fifth and final pre-release single, following “Sweet Talker”, “Good To Be Alone”, “Homewrecker”, and “Everything Everything”.
It was written by Blake Andrew Mares, James G. Morales, Matt Morales, Robert Laurence Cohen II, and Stacey Ryan. Produced by THE ELEVEN and SameSame.
Stacey Ryan said of the song, “I thought I had a 'bad omen' hanging over my head that pushed every good person away. They would act interested at first but something would make it fizzle out, and I always thought it was me. But it was just the universe protecting me from another heartbreak or colossal waste of time.”- The debut album comprises 11 tracks, featuring collaborations with Conor Albert, Cory Henry and Stacey Ryan. Produced by Bailey Lindley and THE ELEVEN.
This marks her first release as an independent artist.
Stacey Ryan Said of the album, “I feel like recently I have been pretty down on myself and feeling like I wasn't having a lot of success. And worried about selling tickets for my tour and making enough money to do the tour and making sure the tour happens, and paying my rent. And I almost felt like I was not doing it all for nothing, but like I was throwing so much at just this blank wall online, and nothing is sticking, and it was getting me down for a really long time. But I pushed through and I posted and I made incredible, I made the best album. The best debut album that I think I could have ever made. And I started listening to the first song, and I just, I really realized that it's fucking amazing. And I'm so excited. And I remembered why I do it, I made this music. I had the most amazing time creating it, and I'm just so excited to give it to you, the people, my fans, that have been literally by me from the start for so long. And I'm finally ready. I was not expecting that, but my debut album, Blessing in Disguise, comes out August 15th.” - source : Apple Music
