  • Neutral Snap Releases New Song “Waltz”

  • New Orleans-based pop-punk band Neutral Snap, consisting of Joshua Latham (vocals), JP Brown (guitar), Dan Conforte (bass) and PJ Huesmann (drums), released a new song “Waltz” on July 11, 2025.

The song is the second and final pre-release single from their upcoming “I Hardly Know Her”, which is set to be released on August 8, 2025.
The track highlights that all too relatable “situationship”.
It was written by Dominick Michael Conforte, Frederick Paul Masherino, John Paul Brown, Joshua Charles Latham, and Patrick Allen Huesmann. Produced by Rob Freeman.
The accompanying music video was directed by Opus Mercury.

The band bassist Dan Conforte told chorus.fm about the song, “'Waltz' is our favorite song we've ever written! We pushed the boundaries of normal pop punk and came up with something catchy that keeps you on your toes! The song is about coming to terms with an ending situation-ship. It shows you the two sides to the breakup. The first verse is very somber, while the second verse is a little more tongue in cheek! We filmed the video in multiple locations around New Orleans, and the video itself was locally done.”
  • The band shared on social media, “This is probably our favorite song we've ever written! A pop-punk situationship anthem packed with hooks, heartache, and just the right amount of chaos. One of our favorites of the year. We had such a fun time filming this one.”

The new EP is their first project in four years since the 2021 album “Tell Me How I Feel”.
The band recorded the EP with producer Rob Freeman at Audio Pilot Studio.
The collection of songs perfectly captures the nostalgic pop punk sound with a little extra energy and production. These songs were the first time the band collaborated with other artists as well, having Tom Denney, Fred Mascherino and others assist in the songwriting process.

  • The band guitarist told Atwood Magazine about working with other artists, “Working with all of these talented musicians was such a dream experience for us. Everyone involved in writing this album was incredibly talented, and we really appreciated the direction that their influences were able to steer us in. Tom and Fred specifically were incredibly nice and were able to use all their knowledge and experience to coach us into writing the best possible music we could.”

He added, “It's easily the best music we've ever written and recorded as a band.”
