  • Krooked Kings Returns With New Song “Rancher's Daughter”

  • Salt Lake City-based indie-rock band Krooked Kings, consisting of Oliver Martin (vocals/guitar), Paul Colgan (guitar), David Macey (keys), Matt Monosson (bass), and Quinn Casper (drums), returned with a new song “Rancher's Daughter” on October 10, 2025.

For the band, the song is the first release as their new chapter.
The track explores the quiet heartbreak of unrequited love, offering a grounded yet emotional reflection wrapped in the band's signature sound: melodic, vulnerable.
The band recorded the track with producer Yves Rothman in Los Angeles.
It was written by David Macey, David Marinelli, Josh Wei, Matt Monosson, Oliver Martin, Paul Colgan, Quinn Casper, and Yves Rothman.

The band lead singer Oliver Martin said of the song, “Written on the topic of unrequited love, Rothman helped push the band to create their biggest sounding track to date.”
  • The band shared, “The past few years haven't been easy for us as a band. Somewhere along the way, chasing trends and appeasing algorithms started to drain the passion we had for creating music. It felt less like sharing art and more like chasing clicks. In that process, we began to lose the genuine connection with both our music and with you. But through it all, you've been here. Your support has taken us further than we ever dreamed. Across the world, into new places, and into the hearts of people who resonate with what we make. For that, we're endlessly grateful.”

They added, “Now, it's time for a new chapter of Krooked Kings. One where the music comes first. No more noise, no more chasing trends, just honest songs and a renewed connection with the people who made this journey possible: you.”
