Lights Announces Deluxe Album “A6EXTENDED”, Shares New Song “EDUCATION”
Canadian electro-pop singer-songwriter Lights has announced the upcoming deluxe edition of her sixth studio album “A6” entitled “A6EXTENDED” will be released January 30, 2026.
The deluxe edition comprises 21 tracks, including the original 13 songs and 8 new songs, written and produced by Lights.
From the album, she released a new song “EDUCATION” on September 19, 2025.
The song is accompanied by a music video directed by Lights herself, which hints at plenty of easter eggs to be revealed within her A6 world.
It was written and produced by Lights. The track is a deep, synth-driven stand-out - a fun, mildly dramatic take on how love makes you grow and learn more about yourself.
Lights said of the song, “The spirit and heart of A6 is in these new songs, it's just an extension of its life. I feel like I understand the sonic and emotional intention in this album very deeply, so completing more songs that match the vibe was not complicated.”- She said of the deluxe edition, “SURPRISE! A6 has 8 new songs. Theres still more pain and growth and nostalgia and drama to be explored. A6 has such a strong identity I couldn't help but complete my half finished sessions. As with A6 I wrote and produced this collection of music and can't wait for you to hear it all and sing it back to me again soon...”
The sixth studio album “A6” was released back in May. It is her first album in three years since the 2022 album “Pep”
She said of the album, “Past lessons, grief and loss, personal growth in a world that wants you to stay the same, the bliss of sensuality, and the recklessness of love.
