Thomas Day Announces New EP “kids”, Shares New Song “sore throat”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Thomas Day has announced his upcoming EP “kids” will be released on October 9, 2025 via Arista Records.
The EP is his first project in a year since the 2024 EP “Angel Boy” and comprises 5 tracks.
From the EP, he unveiled a new song “sore throat” on September 19, 2025.
The song is the second single off, following “she got a thing about her” released back in July.
The track bops along on a grooving mix of acoustic and electric guitar, while our narrator sings of someone he once felt a deep connection to who's left him behind without a second thought.
He co-wrote the song with producer Nate Miles. The accompanying music video was directed by Antony Muse, brings the song's themes to life.- Thomas Day said of the song, “This is not a breakup song. It's more like watching your favorite person fade into someone you don't recognize. That feeling sat heavy with me while writing it alone on a plane somewhere over Arizona. Hope it finds you if you've ever been there too. Grateful 4 my boy Antony Muse for evolving this world with me.”
