The Midnight Releases New Song “Summer's Ending Soon”
American synthwave duo The Midnight, consisting of Tyler Lyle (vocals/guitar) and Tim McEwan (producer/drums) released the fifth single called “Summer's Ending Soon” from their upcoming sixth studio album “Syndicate” on August 29, 2025.
The album is set to be released on October 3, 2025 via Ultra Records.
As the real summer draws to a close, the track mirrors that bittersweet seasonal shift with emotive melodies. Featuring an '80s synth-pop sound, it captures the album’s themes of memory, impermanence, and connection.
The track was written by Jamison Tyler Lyle, Lelia Broussard, Oliver McEwan, Royce Whittaker, and Tim Daniel McEwan. Produced by Tim McEwan.
The accompanying music visualizer was directed by Alex Hooker.- The new album comprises 17 tracks, two years in the making, featuring guest appearances from Bonnie McKee, Carpenter Brut, and Jupiter Winter, and produced by Tim McEwan.
The record weaves together their cinematic synthwave DNA with bold new textures and narratives, imagining a future where the only thing left of Earth is a broadcast of songs and stories.
It is their first album in three years since the 2022 album “Heroes”. -
