elijah woods Releases Debut Album “Can We Talk?”
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter elijah wood released his highly-anticipated debut album “Can We Talk?” along with a new music video for “So Good” on October 14, 2025.
The debut album comprises 11 tracks, produced by Bailey Lindley, elijah woods, Mickey Brandolino and Sam de Jong.
It captures the intimacy, vulnerability, and emotional depth that define his music.
elijah woods said of the album, “'Can We Talk?' is the most personal project I’ve ever made. It’s a collection of late night thoughts and real conversations-things I’ve said, things I wish I’d said, and things I’ll probably never say out loud. For me, it’s about the messy, beautiful parts of trying to connect with people and how easy it is to get lost in miscommunication. At the same time, I was chasing a sense of sonic maturity-finding comfort in letting songs breathe emotionally while still pulling listeners in with production that feels big, bold, and alive. This album feels like finally letting people sit in the room with me while I figure it all out.”- He continued, “I've been making music since I was 14 years old and have never made an album. A few years ago, I set out to write my debut, fully independent- no label, no publisher. It nearly killed me. I experienced the highest highs and the lowest lows of my life. I got married to my best friend, got paid to sing around the world, lived my dreams, met so many amazing people, moved to a new country, and found myself. I lost friendships, got sick, got sued, started getting grey hairs, and almost quit music. the polarity of life is so bizarre, and sometimes so ill-timed, but maybe that's the beauty of being human.”
He added, “'can we talk?' is the result of these years. The late-night chats, the heartbreak, the self-doubt, the excitement, the love, and the quiet moments. I put all of me into these songs. I wanted them to live in a space that I can revisit whenever I need to feel this chapter again. Making this album helped me grow and understand in a new way. I am so proud and endlessly grateful that I get to make things. thank you for listening. thank you for being here. thank you for caring. Thank you to my incredible wife Hannah Woods without you this album wouldn't exist.” -
elijah woods explained some tracks for the album.
“So Good”
“'So Good' is about that feeling when someone walks into your life and suddenly everything feels lighter, easier, and better than you expected–the craving for something you just can't get over.”
“Ghost On The Radio”
“'Ghost On The Radio' is about memorializing a past relationship that still haunts you. No matter where you go, their voice finds a way to follow, like a song you didn't ask to hear but can't turn off.”
“Slicked Back Hair”
“This song is about meeting someone who changes everything-the kind of person who turns you from a caterpillar into a butterfly.”
“I Miss You”
“'I Miss You' is about holding on to hope when love feels uncertain-that late-night belief that if we just keep trying, we can find our way back. It's emotional, but ultimately about faith in connection.”
