Jay Som Releases New Song “Past Lives” featuring Hayley Williams
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Jay Som will release her third studio album “Belong” this Friday (October 10th).
From the album, she released the fifth and final pre-release single called “Past Lives” on October 7, 2025.
On the track, she teamed up with American rock band Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams.
This marks the first collaboration between Jay Som and Hayley Williams. But Jay Som supported Paramore tour in 2018.
The track was written by Mal Hauser, Melina Duterte, and Steph Marziano. Produced by Melina Duterte, Steph Marziano, Mal Hauser, Joao Gonzalez, and Kyle Pulley.
Jay Som said of the song, “It’s a dream come true to have Hayley sing on my first feature on an album before the recording of ‘Float,’ I still can’t believe it happened. She’s one of the kindest artists out there and she graciously accepts and uplifts the people around her. We’re all so lucky to witness her talent and live on the same timeline as her.”
She continued, “Could not have done this without the legend Steph Marziano (thanks Hayley for introducing us!) Co-producing and co-writing this track with you and Mal Hauser (Mal Not Bad) in Nashville was the best experience. love you friend.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks, featuring collaborations with Jim Adkins, Mini Trees, Soft Glas, and Hayley Williams. Produced by Jay Som, Joao Gonzalez, Kyle Pulley, Mallory Hauser and Steph Marziano.
It is her first album in six years since the 2019 album “Anak Ko”.
