Kasabian Releases New Song “Hippie Sunshine”
British rock band Kasabian, consisting of Sergio Pizzorno (vocals/rhythm guitar), Chris Edwards (bass), Ian Matthews (drums) and Tim Carter (guitar), has announced they will be playing their headline show at Finsbury Park in London on July 4, 2026.
The concert features guest appearances from Louis Dunford, Razorlight, The K's, Miles Kane, and SOFY.
Along with the announcement, the band released a new song “Hippie Sunshine” on September 22, 2025.
The song will appear on their upcoming ninth studio album “ACT III”, which is expected to be released in 2026.
It was written by produced by Sergio Pizzorno, with production by Mark Ralph.
The band said of the song, “Hippie Sunshine is about the restless energy of hyper individuals who struggle to slow down and face reality, searching instead for the illusion of escape. It captures the passing moment where everything feels light and limitless, yet beneath it lies a deep sense of disconnection, something both beautiful and tragic.”- The new album is their first body of work in two years since the 2024 album “Happenings”.
The band frontman Sergio Pizzorno told NME about the album, “I’ve fallen for my guitar again. I feel like it’s just giving me riffs every day, it’s beautiful. You’re looking for inspiration in the studio and the guitar is just where I’m at right now. It sets the stall out for a great guitar record.”
He said of the headline show, “It’s so exciting. Live now, we’ve got the show into a place where we offer a very unique experience. After so many years, to be announcing our biggest show in London is pretty amazing. We just keep working on this live show and it’s going to be even better next year. I can’t wait, it’s going to be fucking unbelievable.” - source : Apple Music
