Sasha Keable Releases New EP “act right”

London-based singer-songwriter Sasha Keable released her fifth EP “act right” on August 8, 2025.
This marks her first project in four years since the 2021 EP “Intermission”.
The EP comprises 7 tracks, featuring guest appearances from American rapper BEAM and American singer-songwriter Leon Thomas.
Produced by Charlie Pitts, Coop The Truth, D. Phelps, Etienne, JSTRNGS, JV 'Etienne', Karim Hutton, Kent Azares, Leon Thomas, Matthew Tavares and Taylor Hill.
“This project comes from a place of betrayal and heartbreak. I felt like if I didn't make this music I might lose my mind. I made this project for myself, it's exactly what I needed.”- Sasha Keable told Nadeska Alexisof Apple Music about the EP, “Just after Intermission, I literally left everyone. I was like, 'No, I'm not doing this. I need to just set my own pace and work out what it means.' My main thing is being able to create music for myself, music that fuels me, music that keeps me excited, music that gets me up in the morning. I was not going through a good time writing [act right]. I guess [it's] music that literally made me feel like, 'All right, you are enough.'”
- Sasha Keable said, “I want to start by thanking God for making me all that I am and being with me every step of the way throughout what has been some of the most difficult years of my life. Shout out to him he's really a real one. Secondly would like to thank Jade and Justin for being my rocks throughout this process and always looking after me, there aren't enough words for how grateful I am to you both. Thank you to every single person that worked with me on this project, it has been incredible how much joy this project brought out of me even when I felt like I wasn't good enough or felt like I was so heartbroken I couldn't write, somehow the music just made everything ok and I owe a lot of that joy to the people I had the pleasure of working with. I'm so blessed to work with some of the most talented human beings in the game and I just can't thank all of you enough for your contribution to this project. I can't believe I have songs with my 2 favourite artists on this project, like these guys have been my top 2 most played artists for the past 3 years so I can't even explain what this means to me. Thank you BEAM AND Leon for killing it and adding your sauce to these tracks.”
She continued, “I can't quite express how bumpy the road here has been, 2 years ago I had no management, no label, no publisher it was just me trying to make it work however I could, I got my head down and focused on making amazing music that I was in love with. I feel like I did that, and now it's yours. Thank you to the label, thank you to all the creatives who worked across this, thank you to my family and friends for keeping me sane. This EP was fueled by cigarettes, wine, tequila, Thai green curry and tacos lol so shout out to all those things too lol.”
She added, “Ok enough from me, I hope this EP can heal a couple of you like the music healed me, I hope I never have to write an project about betrayal ever again cus that shit was not cute.”
Sasha Keable explained some tracks for the EP.
“FEEL SOMETHING”
“I was feeling numb at the time, what would you do to not feel numb anymore. You would get back with your toxic ex, you would crash your car, how far are you willing to go to not feel numb.”
“act right”
“The process of writing this project was very much rooted in betrayal and heartbreak, its a reflection on what it meant to lose people that once meant so much to me and how I navigated those feelings and emotions.
I had to go back to the drawing board and attempt to find myself and what made me feel again after living my life for others for what felt like an eternity. “Act Right” is a plea to the people who did me wrong to fix up and attempt to see the wrong in what they did whilst simultaneously attempting to find the love within myself that I so generously gave away to those people that didn't deserve it.”
“WHY”
“I wrote the song manifesting a love that I'd never felt before. A love that I one day hoped to receive.
I wrote this song to manifest a love I'd never had before, a love I could only dream of feeling and honestly I feel like that love has been from all of you this year. I'm so grateful to everyone involved in making this record what it is and so grateful to every single person that has supported me through this incredible year. I hope this record can heal something in you like it did for me.”
“move it along” featuring Leon Thomas
“It's the perfect I told you so song. It feels like the perfect break-up song, it feels like the perfect 'you knew you were right the whole time' song. It's very much an 'I knew it' song. I'm super grateful to have worked with Leon on this, Leon's incredible, he's such an innovator of music, It was really exciting to be able to work with one of the people I really look up to.”
