Florence + The Machine Announces New Album “Everybody Scream”, Shares Title Track
British alt-rock band Florence + The Machine, consisting of Florence Welch (vocals), Isabella Summers (keyboards), Robert Ackroyd (guitar), Tom Monger (harp), Cyrus Bayandor (bass), Aku Orraca-Tetteh (percussion), Dionne Douglas (violin) and Loren Humphrey (drums), has announced their upcoming sixth studio album “Everybody Scream” will be released on October 31, 2025 via Polydor Records.
It is their first album in three years since the 2022 album “Dance Fever”.
The album was inspired by the band lead singer Florence Welch's lifesaving surgery during the Dance Fever Tour in 2023, which led her to explore spiritual mysticism, folk horror, womanhood, partnership, aging, and dying.
At that time, Florence Welch said, “I'm so sorry that I had to cancel the last couple of shows. My feet are fine, I had to have emergency surgery for reasons I don't really feel strong enough to go into yet, but it saved my life.”- The album comprises 12 tracks, were written and produced by Florence Welch over the past two years. On the album, the band worked with British post-punk band IDLES' Mark Bowen, American singer-songwriter. Mitski, and American rock band The National's Aaron Dessner.
From the album, the band released the title track “Everybody Scream” on August 20, 2025.
The track was written by Florence Welch, Mark Bowen, and Mitski Miyawaki. Produced by Mark Bowen, James Ford, Aaron Dessner, and Florence Welch.
The accompanying music video was directed by Autumn de Wilde and filmed in London.
Director Autumn de Wilde said, “The new album by Florence + The Machine out on HALLOWEEN. It has been very hard to keep this one a secret. I am so proud to share this and so grateful to one the most inspiring humans in the universe, Florence Welch.” -
