piri & tommy Announces New EP “magic!”, Shares New Song “someone”
British dance-pop duo piri & tommy, consisting of Sophie McBurnie (vocals) and Thomas Villiers (guitar), has announced their upcoming EP “magic!” will be released on November 7, 2025 via Believe.
From the EP, the duo released the first single “someone” on September 12, 2025.
On the track, tommy performed lead vocals for the first time.
tommy wrote the song with a beat and hook in the first months of their collaboration during lockdown in 2020. The original demo looped through piri's late-night supermarket shifts before she added her verse. piri said, “I listened 36 times in a row.”
The track features pop sound unlike their previous songs with dance music.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jessica Clover Belgrave.
piri said of the song, “Taking a step away from explicitly 'dance' music is so exciting for us too. Exploring other areas of our musicality has been really fun and we can't wait to share even more of the different sides to piri & tommy. We're coming for pop.”- The EP comprises 5 tracks, produced by piri & tommy. It is their first release under their new label Believe.
The duo recently signed to Believe UK.
The duo said of the EP, “Yes, we've been making dance music, but we've really just been making songs! We've always made whatever music we love, and this project finally gave us the space to full-send the funk. Making music together is magic, getting to live as artists is magic, and the fact that we even met (on Tinder!) is the most magical thing of all.” -
