The Chainsmokers Teams Up with Anna Sofia for New Song “Helium”
American DJ duo The Chainsmokers, consisting of Drew Taggart and Alex Pall, joined forces with Toronto-based singer-songwriter Anna Sofia to release a new song “Helium” on August 15, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Anna Sofia.
For The Chainsmokers, the song is the follow-up to “White Wine & Adderall” with London-born multi-instrumentalist Beau Nox, which was released last month.
Meanwhile, for Anna Sofia, the song is her first collaboration of 2025.
The track written by Alex Pall, Andrew Taggart, Anna Vomvolakis, Collin Maguire, and Tillis Churchill. Produced by The Chainsmokers and Ship Wrek.
The accompanying music video was directed by Alex Acy.- The duo first performed the song at Osheaga Festival in Montreal earlier this month, but the show was cut off after five minutes due to weather. After waiting a short while for the weather to clear, they were finally able to perform again.
The duo shared, “Wow that was a rollercoaster of emotions!!!!!! The best 27 minutes ever obv that wasn't the set we had hoped for but getting to come back on right into 'white wine' was our favorite show moments of the entire year. Thank you all for waiting for the weather issue to be sorted out you guys are the shit. It means so so much as our amazing crew put so much effort into this show and we were crushed when we had to stop 5 mins into the set. To see our stage still full to the brim almost brought the tears. MONTRÉAL we have to do a proper show for you all that wasn't enough.” -
