  • Natalie Del Carmen Announces New Album “Pastures”, Shares New Song “El Cortez”

  • Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Natalie Del Carmen has announced her upcoming sophomore album “Pastures” will be released on November 7, 2025.

This marks her first album in two years since the 2023 debut album “Bloodline”.
From the album, she released the first single called “El Cortez” on September 12, 2025.
Written as a tribute to her father, the track was sparked by a family Christmas trip where Natalie Del Carmen gambled with her dad at the iconic El Cortez casino for the first time.
The track was written by Natalie Del Carmen and produced by Brunjo.

Natalie Del Carmen said of the song, “I realized how much I'd already won in life. It felt like I was finally relating to my parents in a different way.”

She continued, “'El Cortez' was written for my dad, so I knew early on that I had to get it right. Last holiday, I gambled with him in Vegas for the first time at the El Cortez Hotel. It was such a fun time together. When you're young, your first experiences go over your head because everything is a first. But then you become an adult and the pool of opportunity to have first experienced memories gets smaller. I have more respect for my parents now than I ever could have understood as a kid. It's about getting familiar with all the ways you feel rich in life that really don't involve money.”
  • The new album comprises 9 tracks, which she recorded with producer Brunjo over 8 days in Nashville.

Natalie Del Carmen said of the album, “To me, a pasture sounds like an open place where you can go anywhere. Sometimes, that's the most freeing thing... but other times, it can be an open invitation for doubt. Sometimes, it can be easy to write about love, because it's so accessible. But I try to write about things that are harder to talk about, like failing, or trying to live up to society's expectations, or grief, or the pressure to amount. With Pastures, I'm letting myself be free to make the music I want to make... and I'm letting myself do it on my timeline.”

  • She continued, “In a long season of transition, you learn that nothing’s ever certain, except the pressure to keep moving and prove something along the way. This record, in its entirety, was written in Los Angeles, CA, within the four walls of my childhood bedroom-a place I fear won’t hold me forever, which somehow feels like a miracle to have gotten the chance to write here for so long.”

She added, “There's this constant need to be somewhere, to be on top, to be the winner, and to have arrived there first. May we learn one day to hold waiting like a gift, to see every open door as a blessing, and to know that arriving in your own time is the sweetest victory.”
