Tori Kelly Releases New Song “Make A Baby” featuring Lucky Daye
American singer-songwriter Tori Kelly joined forces with American R&B singer-songwriter Lucky Daye to release a new song “Make A Baby” on August 22, 2025.
This marks the first time Tori Kelly and Lucky Daye have worked together.
For Tori Kelly, the song is the third collaborative song, following “Mthis is what floating feels like” with JVKE and “MI've Got A Story” with NEEDTOBREATHE.
Also it is the first release after she was pregnant.
The track was David Debrandon Brown, Jeff Gitelman, and Victoria Loren Kelly. Produced by Jeff 'Gitty' Gitelman.
Tori Kelly said of the song, “This song perfectly captures the joy I've been feeling throughout my pregnancy and It's already been the soundtrack to so many sweet moments. Every time it plays, I can't help but smile - I still can't believe this is my real life. Releasing new music in the middle of such a beautiful season feels extra special and I'm so grateful to share it with you. Huge thanks to Luck Daye, MarcLo, Jeff Getty and Mike Barter for helping me bring this one to life.”- She added, “I had just found out that I was pregnant and I wasn’t even telling anybody, so I just threw it out casually in the studio, like, ‘Yeah, we’re kinda thinking about starting a family.’ I was thinking maybe we can write some kind of love song about me and my husband or something. Then we got kind of carried away and ended up hitting it right on the nose. A few months later, getting to announce my pregnancy with that song just felt so perfect. And for Lucky Daye to be down to go in that direction, to lend his amazing voice and writing… I’ve been such a fan for a long time and now we have a duet together. It feels really special.”
