Doja Cat Performs “AAAHH MEN!” & “Gorgeous” on Saturday Night Live
American rapper Doja Cat appeared on Saturday Night Live to perform “AAAHH MEN!” and “Gorgeous”.
This marks her debut on SNL as a musical guest.
Both songs were featured on her fifth studio album “Vie”, which was released on September 26, 2025 via Kemosabe and RCA Records.
The album her first body of work in two years since the 2023 album “Scarlet”.
She recorded the album at Miraval Studios, based in Correns, France.
“AAAHH MEN!” was written by Amala Zandile Dlamini, Glen Larson, Stuart Phillips, and Jack Antonoff, who also produced the track.
Doja Cat said of the song, “'Amen' is one song off of the album that is very goody. I think what I wanted to do was play with my voice in ways that are a little bit less-, kind of unconventional.”- “Gorgeous” was released as the second single from the album. It was written by Jack Antonoff, Amala Zandile Dlamini, George Daniel, Kurtis McKenzie, Lee Stashenko, Mark Spears, and Stavros Tsarouhas. Produced by Jack Antonoff, George Daniel, Sounwave, f a l l e n, Stavros, and Kurtis McKenzie.
She said of the song, “This song is not about being in a relationship with someone else, it's about how you relate to yourself and how you feel about yourself. And that was something that I really wanted to kind of convey in this song. I think it's sort of like, damned if you do, damned if you don't. If you feel good, people will try to bring you down, obviously. And if you feel bad, people will try to bring you down. So I think it's sort of it's up to you to give yourself that self love and that validation.” -
She continued, “Who's the voice note from?, oh, that's my mother. So I actually was, I was in the middle of making the song, and I wanted her on it, because she's, like, such a big part of who I am. And it felt really all encompassing. And so I was like, 'Mom, can you record something for me, please?' And she was like, 'What do you want?' I was like, just want a voicemail, that's like, nice. And she just said that. And it was one take. She didn't really. She didn't have to do it more than once.” - source : NBC
