Winter Andrews Releases New Song “Babel”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and actor Winter Andrews released a new song “Babel” on September 24, 2025.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming debut EP “'til the moon fades away”, which is set to be released on November 21, 2025.
The track takes its name from the biblical tower doomed by human ambition. It is a torch song for the self-destructive and a devastating, unflinching portrait of betrayal and collapse.
The track was written by Andrew Winter Gleckler. Produced by Kari Kimmel, Winter Andrews, and David Thomas Junior.
Winter Andrews said of the song, “It's about self-loathing. Real, almost unbearable self-hatred. The kind of shame that turns your own love into a weapon - and leaves you wondering why you destroy the things you want most to keep.”- He said, “So so proud of this song... a story of pride and regret, taken to a macbeth-ian scale of tragedy and grandeur. Rob Moose delivers an absolutely inspired string arrangement on this. When I first heard it, I was literally pumping my fists and shouting like we'd just scored the touchdown in overtime. Lt was magic. It is magic.”
He continued, “I first wrote this song 7 years ago, and it's grown and evolved with me since. In many ways this was the song I was most afraid of, both because it was so vulnerable, but also because it felt like i'd written a better song than i knew how to perform, let alone produce. so I kept this one *especially* hidden. but for all those years, I felt like if I could just do this song right, I could do anything. So I toiled relentlessly to make it real. And the universe threw me some bones. rob moose came aboard. The harmonies, quite literally, came to me in a dream. all the while, my phenomenal co-producers David Thomas Junior, Kari Kimmel, and I kept chiseling away - even at one point detonating what we'd done and starting over.”
He added, “And, finally, 7 years later, I can look at this and say the result is something even more beautiful, epic, and cool than I'd ever imagined. Something that captures the raw intimacy that inspired the song, but also something that builds massively, becoming bigger and grander than the boy who wrote this in his bedroom ever dreamed was possible.” -
The EP comprises 6 tracks, each song a cinematic vignette. Each track is grounded in deep-seated truths, filtered through otherworldly surrealism.
Winter Andrews said of the EP, “In the end, these songs are really just prayers for beauty, for truth, for something to hold onto. Even when it hurts.” - source : Apple Music
